Do you work with couples who want to get married in Maryland? No. Currently, our packages are only for couples who want to get legally married in Northern Virginia.
What about couples getting married in D.C.? Currently the answer is also no, but we may be adding that option in the future.
Do you work with same-sex couples? 100% YES. Love is love, and we are happy to work with LGBTQ couples. We don't list venues in our database who have told us that they won't serve gay and lesbian couples. Our packages allow for flowers for either gender, so there is one fee no matter if you get two boutonnieres, two bouquets, or one of each. We prefer to work with kind people, no matter their sexual preferences.
Do you have liability insurance? Yes.
Can we choose what type of ceremony we want? Yes. We have some for you to pick from, or you can bring us your own... though we won't preach fire and brimstone.
Are you affiliated with any particular religion? We are not -- we are licensed by the state of Virginia so that your wedding will be recognized by the legal system of the United States. However, we do provide spiritual ceremonies and are happy to include any customs you want to add in.
The venue I chose to get married at already includes flowers. I don't need two bouquets! What do I do? You're welcome to substitute the flowers for a 16x20 canvas or metal print of one of your wedding photos. Please, PLEASE print your photos... I promise you'll be glad you did in 20 years' time.
How last minute can we contact you? Julie photographed one wedding an hour and twenty minutes after booking it, so... very last minute. However, availability will be limited. You can book Monday - Thursday up to a year out, and weekends up to two months ahead of time. Keep in mind that venues will prioritize larger weddings on Saturdays, so you'll have more choice and can often save money by booking your elopement or intimate wedding on an off-day. "Wedding season" in Northern Virginia generally runs from early April until Thanksgiving, so there's often more flexibility during the late fall, winter, and early spring.
